Hey all,

Regardless of the fact that this forum seems dead, I'll post this for any lurkers that may be out there.

So, after an extended wait, the site for this year's BJC is up, the address being...

www.BJC2009.co.uk

So yeah, check it out. The only major differences from last year (apart from the location, of course...) is that pre-reg has gone up by £5 this year, and that there's a possibility to rent out University owned accommodation for the duration of the convention; it's rather pricey though (£54-67 per night depending on the type of room you want), so I'll be sticking to my tent.

Luckily enough, the BJC is scheduled during the break at the end of my 2nd semester, so I will definetly be attending. Who else? There's been a steady improvement in numbers over the years (1, then 3, then 5!), and it would be nice to get more people from southend down to it, especially as it's a damn sight closer then Doncaster!

On that note, to give you guys an idea of travel prices, by train, it CAN cost between £7.90 and £35 for a return ticket (or two singles - there and back) from Southend Victoria to Norwich, depending on what time you travel, what kind of rail card you have etc...

Alternately, you could give a friend with a driving license some petrol money in exchange for a ride up there. Which, I might add, is what everyone did last year. Except for me. I imagine the same will happen this year.

So, there you have it guys and gals, hope to see you there.

Ken.
